Sen. John McCain on Charlie Rose — The Impact of Social Media

Arizona senator John McCain appeared on Charlie Rose early this week, speaking at one point about social media’s impact on today’s world.

According to McCain, he last year ate dinner with a number of young Tunisian activists who had taken part in the Middle Eastern country’s revolution. One of the activists told McCain that Mark Zuckerberg was their nation’s hero.

What do you think? Is McCain’s assessment of social media’s role in today’s society correct?
