Occupy May Day’s Seattle casualties included Niketown, American Apparel, Verizon Wireless and Wells Fargo.
A handful of black-clad protesters attacked storefronts throughout The Emerald City during Tuesday’s demonstration. Hardest hit was Belltown, a shopping district near the southern shore of Lake Union. Members of the so-called ‘Black Bloc’ threw rocks, shot paintballs and instigated conflict with armed SPD officers. Then, they slipped out of their dark clothing and vanished into the crowds.
